Risk Management Workshop

  • 29 Nov 2011
  • 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Kainaliu Extension Office
Federal Crop Insurance and Disaster Assistance Programs for Big Island Growers

These workshops will inform participants about risk management, AGR-Lite, crop-specific USDA-RMA crop insurance products, and USDA-FSA disaster assistance programs that concern all Hawaii growers. Producers of all crops are encouraged to attend to learn about what applies to their crops, what it takes to qualify, and how to apply.

Producers are reminded of the linkage requirement where USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) disaster assistance programs will only be available to producers who have crop insurance or NAP coverage. Sign up deadlines for 2012 are December 1, 2011 for NAP and Dec 31 for most crop insurance.

Please RSVP 3 days before the event to reserve your space with Didi or Perci at 808-887-6183 or email: mddiaz@hawaii.edu or proque@hawaii.edu. Please pre-register so we can contact you in the event a workshop needs to be cancelled or if there are changes in the location.
