If you grow coffee then you probably use pesticide, fertilizers and other regulated substances.  Even certified organic products have usage labels which must be followed.  If you hire someone to do the work for you then there are even more rules that must be followed.  The Hawaii Department of Agriculture has been inspecting Kona coffee farms and issuing fines for non-compliance.

Don't get fined.  Come to this workshop and learn which products are approved for farm use and how to properly use them.  Even products such as mosquito spray and bleach have usage requirements.  Safety equipment, proper storage, worker protection standards and other regulations will all be discussed.

Which products are approved for use with coffee?

Which products require the use of gloves, safety glasses and/or respirators?

After application, how long before you can re-enter the field?

How long before you are allowed to harvest?

Workshop is free for Kona Coffee Council members,

$15 for general public or $25 for annual membership.
